About Life So Simple

Life should be enjoyed, not endured.

Life So Simple exists to help people build a life that works within their real circumstances, not just on paper. Ambition and responsibility, but also room for health, relationships, rest and the ordinary moments you do not want to miss.

The name

The name is not a claim that life is easy.

Life is complicated. People get ill, plans get interrupted, and some seasons give you far less room than others.

Life So Simple is about making the way you respond to that clearer. Fewer decisions to make twice, practical systems, and what matters turned into something that actually happens.

Designed with intention. Built to adapt.

How I work

I turn what you want into a process.

Most people can tell me what they want. Fewer can say what it actually looks like. Almost nobody has worked out what has to be true for it to happen. That is the work.

What that sounds like

You say you want to be healthier. I ask what healthy means for you. We land on eight hours of sleep, so we work backwards. Eight hours means a bedtime. A bedtime means not saying yes to a late dinner the night before the gym. Now it is not a good intention. It is a decision you have already made.

You say you need more money. I say you probably need a structure. I am not going to teach you how to earn more. I am going to make sure every pound has a place before it arrives, so you can say "I need two hundred pounds by the end of the month" instead of "I need more money". Vague cannot be solved. Specific can.

And if you do not know what you want

That is common and it is not a problem. If you tell me you want to be happier and you cannot say what would make you happy, we do not sit and theorise. We look at what you used to enjoy and what you would be willing to try, and then you try things for a few weeks and we watch what lands.

Once we know, the question becomes how you do more of it, and what is in the way. Time, money, other people. Then we build around that.

The method

Six steps, whatever the subject.

It does not matter whether it is a task, a goal, a business or a whole life. The same six apply.

  1. 01

    Clarity

Get clear on what you actually want. Not the version you first say out loud. The real one.

  2. 02

    Translate

Turn it into something specific. What does it look like in a real week?

  3. 03

    What needs to be true

Work out the conditions. What has to exist, change or stop for this to be possible?

  4. 04

    Build

Build the process and the rules that make it happen without relying on memory or willpower.

  5. 05

    Adapt

Fit it to the life that actually exists. Not an ideal week. The one you have.

  6. 06

    Review

Life changes, so the design changes. Check it, and rebuild it when it stops working.

About Timi

People assume Life So Simple came from a business idea. It came from life.

I am the youngest of four girls. Between 2010 and 2020 I lost all three of my sisters and my father, all to cancer. When my eldest sister died in 2010 she left two young boys. I raised them. They are twenty-four and twenty-one now.

For most of that decade I was running a business I had started in 2008, parenting two children who had just lost their mother, and helping care for two sisters who were ill. There was never a version of it where I could deal with one thing at a time.

I did not need advice about trying harder. I needed to stop making the same decision twice.

So I built things. Not because it was inspiring, but because it was the only thing that worked. I decided in advance what would happen so I was not deciding it again in the middle of a bad week. I made the food boring on purpose. I put the important things in the diary before anything else could take the space. I built the business so it could run without me in the room, because there were weeks when I could not be in the room.

This was not new

In my twenties I wanted a project management job and could not get one. Every role wanted experience I did not have. I had bills to pay and no money for training.

So I worked backwards. I wrote down the skills and experience the adverts kept asking for, then found places I could build each one without leaving my job. I joined two committees where I worked. One ran the social calendar and the charity campaigns, so I was organising the Christmas and summer parties and running events end to end, from advertising to chasing donations. The other existed to improve things for staff at our site, which meant reporting to the company's internal communications adviser, running surveys, negotiating benefits, taking proposals to stakeholders for approval, chairing the meetings, keeping the minutes and reporting back. I used my church, which ran a large charity, for the initiatives that needed more scope. I chose books and short courses that pointed at specific gaps rather than at a qualification.

By July 2007 I could sit in an interview and answer every question with a real example. Not "I could do that", but "here is when I did it". I had the experience. I had built it brick by brick instead of waiting to be given it.

Here is the problem. Here is what stands between me and it. There is a route that works with what I actually have.

That is the whole method. I have used it on a career, a business, a household, my health and my money. Now I use it for other people.

I have had some very dark moments. I cannot say I have had a bad life.

What I believe

Six things that show up in everything I do.

  • Life should be enjoyed, not endured

Enjoyment is not the reward for finishing everything. There will always be more to do.

  • Design, do not drift

If you do not decide how your life runs, it gets decided by whatever is loudest.

  • Reality before perfection

We build on the plot you actually have. Not the one you wish you had.

  • Systems create freedom

A good system removes decisions. It does not add another job to your list.

  • Work with your life, not against it

A plan that ignores your responsibilities, energy and season is not a plan. It is a wish.

  • Execution changes lives

Understanding something is not the same as having done it. Only one of those changes anything.

What to expect

We will not spend weeks circling the same idea.

Depending on the problem, I may act as a strategist, a thought partner, an operator, or the person who helps you finally put the process and structure in place.

You will not only leave with more clarity. You will leave with clear steps on what to do next, and why it matters.

Short biography, for event organisers and press

Timi Phillips is a London based founder and Life Architect. She founded Poised Concierge in 2008 and Life So Simple with Timi in 2025. She works with people who know what they want but not how to make it happen, turning vague intentions into specific decisions and practical processes that hold up in a real week.

You do not need a new personality. You need a practical way forward.

Bring the thing you have been thinking about, postponing or trying to force. We will work out what is happening and build a way through it.
